2. Sensors send periodic measurements of air quality data to a gateway

3. Gateway sends information to network where the data is analyzed by an application server which can identify zones of concern

Application server provides information regarding air quality levels troughtout the city, including alerts and pollution patterns, via computer or mobile device, in addition, it can also measure the effectiveness of air quality programs, so that cities can replicate programs in other problem areas
